From Jan M. KROON - Energy research Centre of the Netherlands

At ECN in the solar energy department http://www.ecn.nl/en/zon, we have a job position in the field of our research on polymer-based solar cells. The work forms part of a 4-year joint Dutch research project and will occur in close collaboration with the University of Groningen and the Eindhoven University of Technology. The research will focus on the development of highly efficient multi-junction device concepts. In order to realize the goals, new materials, innovative device concepts, smart deposition techniques will be developed with the aim to drastically increase the efficiency of polymer solar cells, while keeping the production process simple and cheap.

We are looking for a physicist or physical chemist, preferably a PhD, with relevant experience in materials science (polymer electronics), optical simulation, device processing, characterization and evaluation. We anticipate a close relation to the materials science experimental work, e.g. 50% experiment based and 50% theoretical and physical measurement studies.

I want to ask you if you could distribute this E-mail to qualified people at your institutes that may wish to apply for this position (preferably within three weeks from now).

Please contact me if more information is needed.

Thank you in advance and best regards,

Jan Kroon
